75th Anniversary Banquet Held
On November 14th, over 125 past and present members of the Chardon Volunteer Fire Department joined in celebration, at a banquet held at St. Denis Golf Club Party Center. Members from the 1950's through present were in attendance, as well as family members of members who have passed on. The banquet commemorated over 75 years of incorporation for the Chardon Volunteer Fire Department. The afternoon included memorabilia, old photos, the 1928 Prospect Engine, a powerpoint tribute to past members, and awards for outstanding contributions to the department. Awards recipients included; Former Fire Chiefs Louis Rickard, Phil King, and Ron Jonovich, 38-year veteran Art Temple, Veteram Gene Adams, Munson & Chardon Veteran Lt. Gary McKrill, Chief Engineer Mike Homovec, Paul Reinhard, Bob Painter, and Current Fire Chief Larry Gaspar. Special thanks to Veteran Bob Painter (see bottom left) and the rest of the Anniversary Committee for their tireless planning and preparation for this event.
