CHARDON FIRE APPARATUS PAGE

Engine 3324 (Above) (Front Line Engine)- 2005 Sutphen Rescue Pumper, 1000 gallon tank, 25 gallon foam tank. Hale QMax 1500 GPM mid-ship pump. CAT C-13 Engine, with Allison EVS4000 Transmission. Carries 1575 ft. of 5" hose with Stortz couplings, and 400 ft. of 3" hose with 2 1/2 inch NST couplings.  Foam is AFFF 3%-6% class B, gated to 1/4%-1% for class A, eductor built into pump.  Also carries TNT hydraulic cutter, spreader (jaws of life), and ram, portable hydraulic pump, and 100ft of hydraulic hose on a rear-mounted reel. 8KW Amps Electric Generator.

 
Engine 3322 (Above) (Backup Engine)- 2000 Ferrara Pumper, 1000 gallon tank, 50 gallon foam tank.  1500 GPM mid-ship pump. Carries 1575 ft. of 5" hose with Stortz couplings, and 400 ft. of 3" hose with 2 1/2 inch NST couplings.  Foam is AFFF 3%-6% class B, gated to 1/4%-1% for class A, eductor built into pump.  Has foam lob tube.  Also carries RAM - rapidly-deployed attack monitor nozzle for high-flow fire knockdowns. Besides acting as a backup engine, this engine's primary job is deployment to tanker fill sites and building sprinkler connections.

Tower / Ladder 3349  - (Above) 2004 Sutphen 100Ft. Tower Ladder, complete with AMPS generator, a full complement of extrication tools (jaws of life, cutters, etc), and all NFPA tools and equipment for truck company operations. Also carries high angle rescue equipment and rope rigging for technical rescues. This truck is second out on all commercial fire alarms and building fires in the City of Chardon.

Squad 3353 (Above) (ALS Rescue Squad) - 2000 AEV Freightliner Medium Duty Advanced Life Support Ambulance (Purchased October 1999)

Squad 3355 (Above) (ALS Rescue Squad) - 2000 AEV Freightliner Medium Duty Advanced Life Support Ambulance (Purchased August 2000)

Squad 3357 (Above) (ALS Rescue Squad) - 2007 AEV Freightliner Medium Duty Advanced Life Support Ambulance (Purchased March 2007)

Tanker / Pumper 3338: (Above) 1988 Pierce Tanker/Pumper.  2500 Gallon Capacity, 2000 GPM pump with electronic rear dump. Carries 1075 ft. of 5" hose and 300 ft. of 3" hose. Foam: 15 gallons of 3%-6%, with in hose line eductor, applied by nozzle. This tanker responds to all structure fire reports in Chardon, Hambden, and Munson Twps. 

 

Grass Truck 3367: (Above) 1964 Jeep (Recently Refurbished).  150 gallon tank, 132 GPM draft capable pump, with 150 feet of 1" forestry hose and indian guns.

Chase Vehicle / Utility Truck 3399: (Above) 2000 GMC Pickup (Haz-Mat, Water Rescue, Chase Vehicle/Manpower Response).  This vehicle often goes out with the rescue squads for extra manpower assistance.

Retired Engine 3324 (Above) (Retired - sold 2005): 1984 Pierce Attack Engine.  1500 GPM mid-ship pump.  1000 Gallon Tank, with 380 GPM kicker pump.  Carries 1075 ft. of 5" hose and 750 ft. of 3" hose.  Foam: 15 gallons of 3%-6% , with in hose line eductor, applied by nozzle.

Retired Snorkle 3349: (Above) 1974 Mack, 75 foot Snorkle with 1500 GPM pump and 300 Gallon Tank.  Carries 1200 ft. of 3" hose. (Retired in Mar. 03 - now serving in Africa !!)
