Ready for the 2008 Maple Festival? March 27-30, 2008Child ID Night will occur on Thursday at the Fire Station-2005 & 2007 Festivals were snowed out the first weekend, then full of good food, maple stirs, parades !!The Geauga County Maple Festival is known for it's good food and weird Chardon weather. In 2005 & 2007 events were actually snowed out and rescheduled for the next weekend. Click on www.maplefestival.com for 2007 festival details. The northwest wind comes and sometimes ame and so did the snow. The Festival was cancelled, as officials feared the tents would come down under the weight of the snow! This year, the weather is slated for the 60's with a chance of rain. MUCH BETTER !!! The Chardon Police Department will be doing a Child ID/Fingerprinting Project on Thursday night at the fire station. Stop by, and have the kids fingerprinting, just in case. The fire station will be open with guided tours, Sparky the Firepup will be there to see the kids, and of course fire personnel will be selling lots of our famous ham sandwiches and corn dogs. Here are some past highlights in pictures, from a fire department perspective, of course:
HAM, HAM, HAM !!!
Good weather, great food, and of course all the Maple Syrup and Ham Ham Ham Sandwiches you could eat made this a great weekend for the Geauga County community. See you Apr. 20th-23rd, 2006 for this year's festival!!
