FF / Paramedic Kristen Boehnlein (Above) Kristen has been with the department since 1998, and is known for her level-headed thinking and caring methods with her patients. She holds 240-Hr. fire training, Paramedic, and Haz-Mat Tech. certifications. She spends lots of time with her family, and volunteers to help the Geauga Dept. of Child Services. She was voted EMS member of the Year in 2001.
FF / Paramedic Larry Baptie (Above) Senior medic Larry Baptie was one of the first paramedics in Ohio, much less Geauga County. He has been active with the department for nearly 30 years! Larry, a retired guidance counselor at an area high school, was also on Chardon City Council for years, formerly acting as Mayor for two terms. He resides in Chardon with his wife. His son Paul is also a firefighter/paramedic with the department, and his daughter is an OB nurse. He raises Minature Schnauzer puppies.
FF / Paramedic Paul Baptie (Above) Paul Baptie was has been with the department since his days as a high school cadet. Paul is a part-timer in Chardon, and a full-time firemedic in the City of Wickliffe. He also has experience as a high school teacher. He is married and lives in Concord.
FF/Paramedic Brian "Bob" Davidson- (Above) Brian has been with CFD for two years, and recently won the Volunteer Firefighter of the Year award for the most hours responded while off duty to cover calls in 2006. Brian is an Ohio 240 Hr. Firefighter (Ohio Fire Academy) and a Paramedic (Auburn Career Center EMS Program).
FF/Paramedic Justin Geiss- (Above) Justin has been with CFD since 2005, and holds certifications as an Ohio 240 Hr. Firefighter and Paramedic (Lakeland Community College). He also works with Tri-County Ambulance in Lake County.
Captain Mike Homovec- (Above) Mike is a 240 Hr. Firefighter/Paramedic. He has been with the department since 1994, and presently oversees training for the department. He was elected Officer of the Year in 2001 by his peers. He has been active with the Engineer Corps of the department for many years, and is an excellent mechanic. He was integral to writing specs for the tower ladder truck 3349, as well as engines 3322 & 3324. He was also pivotal in refurbishing his favorite truck: Jeep 3367. Mike is a full-time shift commander at Concord Fire Dept. in Lake County. FF / Paramedic Rachel McCummins-Boehnlein (Above) Rachel has been with CFD since the late 90's, when she was a high school explorer cadet. Rachel holds certifications as an Ohio 120 Hr. Firefighter & Paramedic. She is an EMS / CPR /ACLS Instructor, as well as a local police officer. She has worked in a variety of EMS environments, including ER, hyperbarics, amusement park, organ procurement, and fire-based systems.
FF / Paramedic Ken Pritt, Jr. (Above) Ken is one of our full-time firemedics at CFD. He holds Ohio certifications as a 240 Hr. Firefighter, Paramedic, and Special Topics EMS Instructor. Ken started as a Explorer/Cadet, and is a graduate of Auburn Career Center and UH Geauga Hospital's EMS Program.
FF / Paramedic Theresa Reinhart-Meros (Above) Theresa is one of Chardon's full-time firemedics, and has been involved in fire and EMS for many years. She has been employed by Hopkin's International Airport Fire/Rescue (Cleveland), Geauga Regional Hospital ER, as well as Munson Fire Department. She has been with Chardon FD since 1998. Theresa lives in Ashtabula.
FF / Paramedic Don "The Donald" Ross (Above) Don has been with CFD since 2006, and holds both Ohio 240 Hr. Firefighter certification, as well as Ohio Paramedic. He works part time with Physician's Ambulance (Cleveland). He is an avid motorcycle rider and is a body-builder.
FF / Paramedic Gary Swope (Above) Gary has been with CFD since 2006, and holds both Ohio 240 Hr. Firefighter certification, as well as Ohio Paramedic (Auburn Career Center). He also works part time with Kirtland Fire Dept. |
