FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sand Ridge Golf Club Donates Beds to Chardon FD

1/2001 -- Chardon Village, Ohio

Sand Ridge Golf Course recently donated four new Ethan Allan single beds to the Chardon Fire Department.  The beds were placed into service in the fire department's male and female  sleeping quarters (see above).  The beds were being replaced, as golf club members did not want single beds in the club's cottages, where members stay.  Chardon Fire Department member J.C. Campbell, who is also a Sand Ridge employee, was instrumental in helping the department acquire the beds.

"This addition was perfect timing for the department's overnight crews, as we have recently gone to 24-hour staffing at Chardon Fire", said Fire Chief Larry Gaspar.  "Our members were immediately occupying the new beds during night shifts. They were put to immediate use".

The department wishes to thank the Sand Ridge Golf Club, J.C. Campbell, and the fire department members who volunteered their time to acquire the new beds.  Members of the public will get a chance to see the new beds at upcoming open houses.  Stay Tuned.
