FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chardon FD adopts new patch8/2001 -- Chardon, OH
The Chardon Fire Department recently adopted a new patch design for members to wear on uniforms shirts and apparel. Lt. Gary McKrill & FF/Medic Scott Meyer were instrumental in coming up with various designs and computer renderings of the patch, which the CFD members chose. The patch is designed using the Chardon black & red color scheme, which has recently been used on all new apparatus (two squads, one engine, and a hazmat pickup). The new patch reflects the proud tradition of 125 years of fire service (anniversary coming in 2002). Take a close look and tell us what you think. See more on the Symbolism of the CFD Patch. Patch Collector Policy: Due to an overwhelming demand for our patch, we are requesting $5.00 per patch sent by check or money order to: Chardon Vol. Fire Dept., c/o Chief Gaspar, 110 S. Hambden St., Chardon, OH 44024. We are presently not participating in any patch exchange programs.
