Chardon FD Achieves NEW ISO RATING 4 for City of Chardon

August, 2002 

During the early summer, a representative from ISO (Insurance Services Organization) conducted a periodic audit of the capabilities and readiness of the Chardon Volunteer Fire Department.  After a long week of scrutiny, we are pleased to report that we have successfully achieved the new status of ISO Rating 4 for the City of Chardon from the ISO organization.  The former rating for the city was a 5.  This means a substantial reduction in fire insurance premiums for businesses, as well as a discount for home owners.
