Auburn Career Center offers high school EMS program for juniors and seniors
5/2003 - Concord, OH The Auburn Career Center now offers a High School EMS program to juniors and seniors. The program is designed to provide the student with a comprehensive overview of emergency medical services, including; dispatch, career pathways, terrorism and disaster preparedness, as well as the Ohio EMT-B curriculum (senior year). Chardon Fire's own Capt. John Blauch will be the instructor for the program. Prerequisites include a minimum 2.0 GPA, excellent discipline and attendance records, and a desire to learn about a career in EMS. The two-year program runs mornings (for juniors) and afternoons (for seniors). Prospective students should be sure to complete all of their academic classes needed for graduation at their home school. Virtual computer learning classes in English, Government, and other subjects are available through Auburn.
