New Sutphen apparatus named "Engine 3324"; replaces 1983 Pierce
Chardon Fire's Engine 3324 2/2006 - Chardon, Ohio A new 2005 Sutphen attack engine has replaced an aging 1983 Pierce engine, which was retired and sold last year. The new truck will be the front-line, "first out the door" engine for fire calls, with the exception of mutual aid tanker calls. It is outfitted with "roll out shelves" for both hose crosslays, a rear-mounted extrication cabinet for the jaws and cutters, and an AMPS generator to supply light at emergency scenes.
