FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Rescue Squad "3357" increases department capabilities

Rescue Squad 3357 increases Chardon Fire's EMS fleet to three squads. The latest addition is a 2007 Medium Duty AEV Trauma Hawk on a Freightliner chassis.

6/2007 - Chardon, Ohio

Chardon Fire Department has added a third ambulance to their fleet of EMS vehicles.  A 2007 AEV Trauma Hawk was placed in service in May.  A "squad committee" of experienced fire department personnel worked together to pick the right blend of chassis and patient care options to make this a squad to be proud of.  Our oldest squad, 3353 will now be refurbished, in order to enable the department to upgrade it's EMS capabilities.

This new vehicle is the first ambulance to sport the red and black paint scheme that is integrated on all recently purchased Chardon fire apparatus.  Some of the other features include; an all LED lighting system, hydraulic oxygen tank hoist (a real back-saver), and increased interior and exterior cabinet space.  The squad is very similar in design and layout to the two other Chardon squads, making it easier for crew members to find equipment.

More information on the the new squad will follow soon...
