On-Scene with Chardon Fire (2005)
(FYI - This page will take a few moments to load, as the pictures are in medium/high resolution. Pictures are taken with two cameras; a Sony Handicam Camcorder mounted in Engine 3322 & a Kodak 4900 series digital camera. The 8mm film from the engine is then processed through a computer and still shots are obtained using VideoWave (Analog) software. Picture quality is affected by windshield glare, long play resolution, etc.)

Above: February, 2005 - Another snow-related accident tied up traffic on SR 44 for an hour, as crews removed victims and cars. No one was seriously injured in the crash. Picture taken from camcorder.

Above: June, 2005 - One person received minor injuries after a truck towing a tractor lost control on SR. 44 near Hosford Rd., striking the white vehicle. Blurry pictures taken with Kodak CX4200.
Above: August, 2005 - Chardon, Hambden & Concord Fire crews work to extricate victims of a two-car collision at Hosford Rd & SR 44 in Chardon Twp. The roof and doors had to be removed to extricate the victims. Metro LifeFlight (bottom left) was called to the scene to transport the patient to a trauma center. Above: August, 2005 - Heavy damage was sustained to this house on Crocker Blvd. in Chardon City. Fire crews arrived to find the structure heavily involved with fire out the roof at the rear of the structure. No one was injured. Hamdden, Munson, and Burton Fire Departments assisted. Pictures taken with Kodak CX4200.
Above: August, 2005 - A fatal 2-car accident at the intersection of SR 608 & Chardon-Windsor Road involved stabilization of the cars with air bags from Munson Fire Dept. Hambden & Burton fire departments also assisted. Pictures taken from 8mm.
